SPF with Hailey Bieber

With so much controversy sparked after a recent celebrity advocated using SPF as a nose and cheek highlighter(!), we are delighted to see model Hailey Rhode Bieber applying her @eltamdskincare SPF almost perfectly!

Bieber is using the oil-free EltaMD UV Clear Tinted SPF 46 which helps to calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts often associated with acne and rosacea. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy-looking skin. It’s very lightweight and silky and may be worn with makeup or alone, is paraben free, gluten-free, sensitivity-free and noncomedogenic.

With 9.0% transparent zinc oxide, UV Clear SPF 46 also offers excellent UVA/ UVB protection. In terms of how much to use, we would recommend using a teaspoon for your face, neck, ears, chest and with any excess on the back of your hands. One pump is not enough for all those areas mentioned (which are sun exposed sites during the winter) – so It is best to use a teaspoon as your ideal guide amount! A ‘shot glass’ amount is a general guide for your entire body.

You can purchase the EltaMD range at our online shop – link in bio. If you need any additional information please do call us on (01) 912 3030 or mail us at info@instituteofdermatologists.ie.
