Dr. Saroj Verma is a Consultant Dermatologist on the Specialist Register. She graduated in 2004 from University College Dublin obtaining her Medical degree and her Bachelors of Medical Science Degree and went on to complete her Higher Professional Training in Dermatology in Ireland, in June 2015. She has worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at several major teaching hospitals including Tallaght Hospital, the Mater Hospital, Dublin and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and works as a Consultant Dermatologist in the Hermitage Medical Clinic.
Dr. Verma's training is in Medical Dermatology, both adult and children, with interests in inflammatory skin disease (acne, eczema, psoriasis) skin cancer/melanoma. Her research interest is in autoimmune skin disease, in particular cutaneous lupus and dermatomyositis, and she completed her fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, in 2012.
Throughout her training and in her role as a Clinical Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons, Dr. Verma has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including curriculum development, clinical teaching and examination. Dr. Verma has been published in peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters and abstracts in the field of dermatology, and has also reviewed articles for peer-reviewed journals such as The British Journal of Dermatology.
Dr. Verma is a member of several professional societies including the Royal College of Physicians, the Irish Association of Dermatologists, the British Association of Dermatologists and the British Society of Photodermatology.
