Professor Barry O'Reilly is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist Urogynaecologist with more than 25 years of clinical, academic and surgical experience. He joins the Institute of Dermatologists with expertise in women's intimate health, pelvic floor wellbeing and cosmetic gynaecology.

He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1991 and trained at St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals in London. He completed a Doctorate in Medicine researching bladder overactivity, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery in Melbourne, where he was appointed Consultant and Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne.

Returning to Cork in 2004, he founded the Continence Foundation of Ireland. He is Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UCD and was previously Director and Professor of the ASSERT Centre at UCC. He is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist Urogynaecologist at Cork University Maternity Hospital and Mater Private Hospital, and developed one of Europe's first accredited training programmes in urogynaecology.
