Huge congratulations to Clinical Professor Eleanor Higgins and Assistant Clinical Professor Rosalind Hughes!

Huge congratulations to our Consultant Dermatologists, Associate Clinical Professor Eleanor Higgins and Assistant Clinical Professor Rosalind Hughes, on their recent appointments at University College Dublin! These appointments are a testament to their academic achievements, and their significant contributions to research and teaching in Dermatology.

Assoc Prof Higgins is a Consultant Dermatologist at Blackrock Clinic, as well as Institute of Dermatologists, with a special interest in Medical Dermatology. She has a special interest in medical education, and has completed a Masters of Science in Medical Education from Queens University Belfast. Her clinical interests include General and Medical Dermatology such as acne, atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, hair loss, disorders of pigmentation, photobiology, skin cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology.

Asst Prof Hughes is a Consultant Dermatologist at St Vincent’s Hospital, the Blackrock Clinic and Institute of Dermatologists, who also has a special interest in medical education, having completed her Masters in Medical Education in 2014. She is very actively involved in GP Dermatology education and spearheaded an award winning GP Dermatology education webinar series in 2017/2018. She has completed both clinical and scientific research in the fields of Hidradenitis Suppurativa and psoriasis. Her clinical interests include Hidradenitis Suppurativa, acne, psoriasis, skin cancer and Cosmetic Dermatology.
