Have you ever had to deal with any skin care issues?
I developed adult acne in my 30’s, and took a course of low dose Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) before getting married last year. It really was so effective in clearing my skin. I’ve always been extremely careful with sun protection, but have very fair skin and recently developed issues with rosacea and lentigines. I had a course of IPL 2 years ago, which really improved my complexion, and try to maintain it with an IPL top up session every 6 months or so.
What is your skincare regime?
I cleanse and balance each morning using the Biologique Recherche Lotion P50W followed by @revisionskincare Vit C Lotion 30%. I then apply a zinc containing sun cream every day, either Revision Intellishade Truphysical or @eltamdskincare UV Clear SPF 46. I double cleanse in the evening and apply Revision Retinol Complete 1% serum. Once or twice a week, I use a prescription grade retinoid instead, followed by Elta MD PM cream.
The skincare product that has made the most difference to your skin?
Starting a retinoid in my 20’s has really helped maintain my skin texture and brightness.
The product you would never swap?
Revision Retinol Complete 1% serum.
Your favourite ID cosmetic treatment?
Platelet-rich plasma therapy. I’ve had 3 treatments so far, and have noticed such an improvement around my eyes, with a reduction in fine lines and dark circles.
The best skin-related advice you’ve ever received?
The most effective anti-ageing treatment is good sun protection!
