Intensive eye drops for dry, gritty, irritated eyes

Hylo-Dual Intense is a preservative free eye drop for moderate to severe dry eye, particularly when the eyes also feel red, sore or inflamed. It pairs 0.2% hyaluronic acid, which holds moisture on the surface of the eye, with 2% ectoin, a naturally occurring molecule that helps protect the tear film from drying out.

Why dry eyes feel the way they do

The surface of the eye is covered by a thin tear film. When it breaks down, from screens, central heating, air conditioning, certain medications or after eye surgery, the eye loses its protective layer. That is when the burning, gritty, tired feeling sets in.

Preservatives in some eye drops can irritate the eye further with frequent use. A preservative free formula is a sensible choice for anyone using drops several times a day.

• Anyone with dry eye that lighter drops have not settled
• Eyes that feel dry and irritated during long screen days
• Recovery after eye surgery, such as cataract or laser surgery, if your eye surgeon is happy for you to use it
• Dry eyes during treatments known to cause dryness, such as isotretinoin (Roaccutane)

Not for use while wearing contact lenses.

How to use

1. Remove the cap. Before first use only, hold the bottle upside down and press the base until the first drop appears.
2. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid.
3. Press the base of the bottle to release one drop into each eye.

Use one drop in each eye three times a day, or more often if needed. Remove contact lenses before use. Use within 6 months of opening.
